UAA held a one-of-a-kind Soccer match in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, that fearured fierce competition and excitement for spectators and players, as Africa’s own brave and beautiful women battle it out on the field to say enough is enough, and violence against women is not ok, it is just wrong.

In addition to being great entertainment and fun, the all-woman soccer game will serve as a violence against women awareness event. Community activists presented speeches about the urgency to help victims and put a stop to the brutality. The speakers also directed attendees to where they can go and what they can do to help immediately, and guide them to resources that are available in their communities that can help directly.
