Partnerships Key to Ending Modern Slavery
Partnerships are key to ending human trafficking, which currently enslaves some 27 million people worldwide. That is the message sent by the first White House Forum to Combat Human Trafficking.
The April 10 event brought together leaders from government, the private sector, law enforcement and academia, advocates and survivors, and faith leaders to discuss cooperative efforts to end modern-day slavery and help its victims return to normal lives.
